Biography:
We have been married for 30 years. We have 4 children, Shaya is 26, married to Jake Snyder and they have one daughter, Taylor, who will be 4 in Dec. Jeremiah is 25 and is learning about life and his walk with God, Lindsay is 17, is involved in Guard and Synergy (show choir) at SHS, she’s a junior and Megan is 16, a sophomore at SHS and is in Varsity Singers. Our walk has had it’s ups and downs, we’ve both backslidden and come back around. God is not letting us go! THANK GOD!!!!!
Mark was using MySpace as a way to reach people, posting daily devotions. He was led to open a “chat room” in PalTalk in Dec. of 2007. There wasn’t much done with the chat room until March of 2008. He asked me to help him run it. We’ve met many wonderful Christians, who also help us “run” the room. Mark gives a message on Sunday night, and I have been leading a study on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night. We have 2 ladies who open the room on Mondays to pray for the children. Times that the room is open, we listen to praise and worship music, have those who regularly visit the chat room, we have seen 4 people gives their lives to Christ and planted many seeds! One of the “rules” in the chat room is that EVERYthing stops when there is a prayer request. Another is that the room is opened with prayer, and closed with prayer. Our mission statement is based on the call Mark had to open the room…..The room purpose is to provide a place of unity and fellowship, for those who earnestly seek Him and walk with Him, to rest, renew and refresh as we face the ongoing battle. We will never engage in argument, debate, gossip or allow disrespect. Romans 14:16-18 Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
Many of the people we minister to have disabilities that keep them from attending “regular church”, so they have found their church home with us. It’s not uncommon for us to start praising God at 7 PM and keep going until midnite or after!!! This internet ministry is SUCH a blessing to not only Mark and I, but to Lindsay and Megan as well. We have opened a seperate chat room for teens/young adults (college age). They call it “Fusion” (the fusing of God, prayer and praise with their lives). You can find us in the evenings at www.paltalk.com (this is a free download) Mark’s screen name is “brother_dj” (he had come to be known as a deejay in yahoo chat) and mine is tooblessed_tobestressed. Once you download paltalk, you can click on “all rooms’ on the Paltalk Scene box, find Religion and Spirituality on the left, click on that to expand it, then click on Christianity. That will open a list of room names on the right. Just look for “Christian Chat and Music 13″. Double click that, and you’re there!! This is the ministry God has called us to. It’s very exciting!!
